ok like i said before I'm new to all of this and the tmaxx that i have i got used so I'm not 100% sure what all upgrades have been done. i know it has a picco .21 engine, a double disk slipper, up graded brake disk and some suspension mods..... I'm pretty sure it has a FOC in it(as there is no shift linkages or servo). i dont know about the drive shafts(theyre ?dogbones?), the tranny or the axle shafts.

my questions is.... how can you tell the difference between a 3.3 tranny and a 2.5 tranny? are the physicaly different on the out side or just inside?

i did a search and couldnt find anything on it..... maybe i just didnt know what to look for, but thanks for the help
 
a 2.5 is black if i am not mistaken. The 3.3 is gray and shorter. If I am wrong someone will chime in.
 
I believe twocane is right. 2.5 uses the normal older black tranny cases and the 3.3 has a gray tranny case.
 
ok thanks.... mine is the only rc i have seen so i didnt know whats standard and whats not
