YD2 maintenance

Decided to tear the YD2 transmission and diff apart to see if it was possibly low on fluid, I found that almost all my diff fluid had leaked out and soaked the inside of the trans case. I cleaned it all up nicely and rebuilt the diff with fresh fluid. Feels a lot smoother! I also rebuilt all 4 shocks to make it “lively” or “realistic” when accelerating or braking. Adjusted my throttle exponential to -30 for a smoother and easier to maintain drift. I think I may have finally figured the kinks out with this RC but only track time will tell. Heading to a new to me track on Saturday just over an hour away so hopefully I can get it dialed in. Feels so much better than it ever has!

And what weight shock oil did you use?

5wt rear, 10wt front. I only use 6-8 drops of oil in the rear and 4-6 drops in the front. I prefer my car to act more lively or appear more realistic.

I just traded this rig. Beautiful chassis and design but not very competitive, hence why they have never made an updated version. People
Who have them and like them usually love them but those who have them and aren’t a fans tend to hate them and get rid of them. What steering issues are you having? I may be able to get you sorted out... Also, the rig you have is a YD2S which is a very solid setup, do not let me make you think otherwise. They have a totally different transmission layout making the YD2S more capable than the SX3 model.

I'm getting uneven lock from left to right. Iv messed with everything I can think of to tune it out but to no avail.
