RC Driving Style
How do you guys like this thing. I'm usin this thing just to race for the hell of it. find this thing reliable? anything that should get imidiate replacement stuff like that? thanks
 
Well, do you have the AD2 or the RTR? If you have the rtr, you should tear down ALL the plastic suspension parts and boil them to make them softer, and thus more durable. The rtr suspension is so stiff, it breaks a lot if you don't boil them. I boiled mine, and haven't broken ANYTHING since...
 
i was gunna get the RTR.. I dont need the best thing out there really. alright ill try doin that boiling thing. anything else i should be concerned about?
 
Not really, you may want to keep your eye on the slipper, I had some small problems on mine w/ the pads wearing out, but all I had to do was clean them, and they were fine...
Also, I don't think the stock engine holds a tune too well, but no biggy since it's a really easy to tune engine anyway...
 
get the monster diff if the rtr2 doesn't already have it .. makes the truck smoother in corners
 
ill keep the stock diff -_- .... tuneing no problem I've done this forever and just took a brake and now just want something to toy with
 
i just picked up a RTR2 2day, we'll see how it goes. good 2 know u can still boil some of this stuff. how long in the pot would u say? used to do 10min or so w/rc10 arms, been a while.

Ill probably end up boiling some of the plastic but other than that ithink that will be it. I dont put a huge thrashing on the car anyway
 
Well neither do I considering that the xxx-nt is my dad's, but we broke 3 things on it before boiling, after we boiled all the parts, we have yet to break anything...
