Thought I would start a new thread for this because I did not find one anywhere.

While I’m not very good at it yet, one of the things I have always liked about RC cars is the ability to design and produce your own designs for your cars. I feel that this is one of the easiest ways to distinguish your car/truck from the other guys.

As I was looking into doing a new body for my XXX-NT, I was disappointed to see such a lack of different body types for it. The only option I have found is the Crowd Pleaser by ProLine. I also believe in sketching out a design before I lay the paint down. The next problem was there were no design templates out there for this body. Well, being proactive I decided to make one myself.

Then I figured that others may be interested in this so I am going to try and put it here for anyone to use or make modifications. This is still somewhat rough, and it is not to any type of scale other than it look proportionately correct and can be used to do rough design work. It is in a PDF format so anyone interested should be able to use it. It’s easy to print one off and modify it so design all the cool schemes you want.

Please let me know your opinions and also let me know if there are any other shells out that that work well with the XX-NT.

Are you also looking to manufacture the new bodies themselves?

I'm certain someone will come up with some crazy designs for you to lay down :)

The idea was not to collect designs, it was just to put a tool out there for others to use should they desire to do so. Planning out my designs is something I do, but I'm sure a lot of people grab a shell and are able to create something on it without a design.
