does xtm make parts or engines anymore because i can't seem to find anything on towerhobbies or anywhere else, if anybody knows where to find xtm 24.7 engine parts could u tell me where to find them.thanx.

EBay, I dont know how makes Xtm but hit Google and put in Xtm 24.7

Hobby People should have all of them. That is their "house" brand.

Unless Tower is in your area, both have websites. hobbypeople.net

(.21Rc10GT-What kind of parts?)

i need a clutch, i have a xtm 24.7 on a tmaxx and i can't seem to find any parts for it. do u think a 2.5 clutch will work?

Is it the stock clutch setup? If so, then get an MIP clutch. It is a lot better than the stock one for sure.

I think the MIP clutch is a good upgrade. It grabs better and last longer than the stock clutch, and i have the experience to look back on. People have opinions, but i think it is a good choice. Aluminum shoes really are a pain to maintain.

I went from stock to MIP, never liked it. The clutch slipped, more than it really needs to. It also wears out kinda quick. I went back to stock shoes, I plan on upgrading to aluminum... nothing but glory from what the guys at the track say.

i think i need a good clutch because this motor is making at about 5 hp (it think its been ported) so what would be a good clutch that will last me a very long time. i dont want have to replace my clutch about 3-4 times a month.

Who says that it is making 5hp?! An 24-7 cannot make 5hp, even with porting... maybe just under 3hp, but not anywhere near 5 or 4 for that matter. Maybe you should upgrade to the 1/8th scale clutch. I have one on my .27 maxx, and its nice! More durable and more bite, because of the larger surface area.

Normally you should drop in a bigger clutch when you install the .21 conversion stuff onto a maxx. Same goes with upgrading to metal gears... you could tear up that stock tranny really quick if you have a .25 or .28

can u post a link to where i can get a 1/8 scale clutch.thanx.

It is pricey, and there are so many variations of clutches. When you do that, you need a new clutch bell and spur as well as the clutch and flywheel. I have the turbosliding clutch with carbon shoes and the rc solutions 52t spur. I think it was close to $100 for all of that, but it lasts a long time!

i think ill jux go wit the mip clutch, i think thats too much jux to fix a $20 problem.thanx.

Well, i was just suggesting it, becuase the larger surface area of contact really holds up a lot better to big block horsepower. In my opinion, it is a great upgrade, but if you dont have the money, then the MIP is the way to go. Good luck man!
