Does anyone on here have this buggy? I traded my savage for one. I was wondering to the XTM owners give me some feedback about these buggys. I have seen one run in person and I was impressed, can you guys add some more opinions.

i just got mine last week..i got the deluxe version with the big engine head and havnt had any problems with overheat (supsoedly the small head 24.7 likes to run hot) whatsoever. this is my first buggy and the first buggy I've ever see run...but to me it seems like a great ride. although i did already break a rear bulkhead from a ugly landing on the wing at about 30+ mph..but i hear alot of buggys have this rear bulkhead weakness. (making aluminum braces now) the accelration is very quick..and it tops out to a very fast speed considering the 24.7 is rated at only 28k rpms. all I've done with it is bash and hit jumps so far so can't comment on its race track handling. i can say that my big block maxx is 2nd in line now that i have the x-terminator.

does this small 24.7 with the small head come on the normal rtr version?

I have also heard that the rear bulkhead is a serious problem with this car, someimtes minor landings on the wing break it. How much is that part to fix? A guy at my local track runs one, and he has used some bars to stablize it. What about the axels are they cvds or dogbones?

yes the regular x-term came with the small head. as for the bulkhead it cost 5 dollars for a gearbox/upperbulkhead set..and is very easy to replace (which also means its very easy to get to the diffs for maintinence) although you havto order them from hobby people. heres a few links to mods people have done to strenghthen the bulks -- http://globalservices.globalhobby.c...p?t=2063&sid=256802f4ee7c68ea00ade567ee2da95c and http://rcbuggies.winsoft.net.au/ the braces I'm making look like cartmans. the front axels on my deluxe are cvd and dogs in rear..not sure about the standard x-term.

oh btw the x-term is called a "rex-x" down under so nightmares page is all mods done to a x-term.
