RC Driving Style
  1. Bashing
Hey everybody I am looking for some help. I have an XTM XT2e that i bought a few months ago and I've raced it one time. I bashed with it quite a bit but i have since done tones of upgrades/improvements to it. I removed the tandem pack style and run 1 single 4s pack with the RC8.2e conversion tray, got rid of my old electronics, got a hobby wing sc8 2000kv combo. and have a ultra high torque savox servo. I like this buggy but it doesn't seem very durable. I was wondering if anybody has any experience with this buggy and if so have you raced it. I am wondering if it is a good platform to build on and keep or get rid of it and go with associated. i plan on buying 7075 aluminum hubs, titanium turnbuckles, 7075 upgrade chassis, and the XTM manufactured big bore shocks. that would be about 150 in upgrades give or take a little bit. the reason i am questioning it though is it doesn't seem like the plastic is durable. I have broken an arm but that was hitting a tree mid-air bashing at home. and i broke my rear diff case housing/bulkhead twice, once bashing once racing. does anybody have experience with this buggy?

I had also Xtm xt2 but nitro, and I converted to onroad. cause before I used to play it as a buggy everytime I broke parts especially the arms. That's why I decided it to convert in onroad car. And it works fine now with an LRP zr30 spec2 engine.

I haven't had any experience with the buggy but have known a couple of people who had them, same problem, broke a lot of parts, even after some upgrades. Their a cheaper made buggy so I wouldn't expect them to last a long time.
If I was you I would save some money & buy something better quality & that has better support, specially if you want to race, get something you can get help with & something you can find set up sheets or info for so you can get it to handle better on a track.
Associated is a good well known brand & from what I've read, their 1/8 buggies are good decent buggies.
I have just got myself a JQ Products 'THE Car' rtr nitro buggy & have a JQ Products 'THE Car' Yellow addition pro kit buggy on its way, they are very strong & handle great when set up & support from the company owner & car designer & team manager is fantastic, they get on the forum & actually talk to their customers & help any way they can.
There isn't an electric JQ buggy yet though, but I don't think it will be to far away, there is a Teckno conversion kit though that meant to be really good, may even convert my rtr once the kit is up & running.

i am agree with "ozziii" that instead of buying something in cheap quality with cheap price one should have to something in best quality. no matter if price is higher than others.
