Does anyone have an 'XTM RAGE' they seem quite good and look good on the videos whats the performance like and are they worth £70. My local hobby shop sells them so I can get parts easily. Thanks.

they look pretty decent. I read a few reviews and nothing seemed to stick out as a major problem. I really like the RC18 series from associated but if you can get parts for this thing locally then i say go for it. 18's are alot of fun. I always make the drivetrain as bulletproof as possible first and then look at other hop ups.

hi
i have an xtm rage, they are very fast but the parts are not very strong and they break easily.

You say that, but when you use the internet you can find all sorts of stuff. If ur looking for parts then stay away from stuff from the USA. The best site I've found is Galaxy Models (www.galaxymodels.co.uk). They stock all the original parts and if they don't have the part in stock the owner of the store e-mails you himself to offer and alternative parts or tells you when it will arrive.

chelseafc385's right - the parts are still quite easy to break. Luckily I bought one of the later models so most of the parts are quite strong. If I were you I wouldn't upgrade any of the suspension parts to aluminium because if you crash it into something you might break something more expensive (i.e. the chassis).

To avoid breakages I would either drive it quite gently on really, really rough roads or just drive it on road. This truck's otherwise great - it flies no matter where you drive it. Just make sure you buy the right tyres for the job - if you don't you can't do much with it. I have two sets - road tyres & the originals for off roading.

Lewis, this thread is from June, all id say is that hes probably made his decision on whether to get one or not by now.

If not though, i would say that it is a good little truck and is very fast from stock, It could do with better batteries that last longer.

If your worried about how weak the parts are you can upgrade to aluminium, but it costs almost double what the cars is worth. And then could put more pressure onto the chassis and all the rest of the plastic parts.
