Just wondering if anyone has any opinions on it. I'm picking up a hyper 7 and the O.S. that comes with it is a little underpowered but perfect for learning and I am researching now so when I'm ready for more it will be there (also seems like a good replacement motor for my 2.5 maxx :D ). Anyway any other motor suggestions would be nice also. I am also considering the RB Concepts WS7.

For an MT the 24.7 is an awesome engine but it lacks the top end that the buggys need for speed. The RB would be a much better choice for a fast buggy. For the price and if your running on short tracks then get the 24.7, you can't go wrong there.

i can't argue with 3maxxman. The 24.7 also might need a larger cylinder head the one stock looks pretty small....The engine is powerful tho. but tha rb will probably be a better choice for your buggy.:trout:

With the xtm .247 you will defently need a bigger cooling head. If you dont get one, it will over heat and well...you know what happens from there:p

I have to agree that the XTM 24.7 does need a larger cooling head. I haven't had any problems with overheating on mine. Just make sure you have large enough cooling holes. If you had a choice and money isn't an issue I would go for the RB.

Another engine to check out is the O.S. V01B. It is much cheaper but very powerful. Some peeps on this board have it.
