xtm 24.7 motor problem

hi i have a xtm 24.7 that i just rebuilt it runs really good .. but the pull start rope keeps staying out....do you have any way?

ok where can i get 1.. a lot of hobby shop dont carry xtm....

and how did i tell if it is shot?

take off the pull start from the engine and try pulling it. If it doesn't recoil its done. www.hobbypeople.net will have them.

ok i just did that it go in fine....

it might be a 1 way bearing.. if it is would it do the same thing...?

Then try some other things, I would have to see it to be able to point you in a better direction.

Is your one-way bearing in the right way? Try cleaning the one way bearing and shaft with some DA or nitro cleaner then lube the bearing.

did that ... it can go on 1 way... on that motor.....

and the pull start spring broke today .. so i put on a roto start... and it still slips...

Yep, its the one way. If you cleaned it, and lubed it, and its still doin that, you need a new one-way.

thats where i got the new piston and sleeve... your right there are 1 of the best places to get stuff from.... i order the pision and sleeve and sent them a money order... and it came it came 4 days
