Looking for a new or used XRay XT8 Body. I finally mangled mine to the point of no return! Also looking for some Truggy servos. Steering is more important than throttle, but I do need both. Thinking about JR 9100/8800s if anyone has any....

I have some items I could/would swap....or cash is always an option.

Let me know what you have and we'll go from there.

Go Hitec man. I have a JR900T, the gear set went sloppy really quick. It's 3 years old and still working though.
My Hitec Ti. gear servo, a 5955 model took 10X the abuse than the JR did. I just sold cause I needed cash. Now I have to buy another!
Ace servos are supposedly a good choice too but they have a high current drain.
Looking at the Ace servo guts in ads, they do not compare to the Hitecs. Nothing does actually.
The Hitec 5625 is a perfect throttle servo as well.

I have a dead 5625 sitting at home....lol No power at all to it...and since I got it used...HiTec wants $35 to repair a $45 servo. Their customer service sort of turned me off a bit....but their servos seem to be pretty good. I have been looking at the 5955.... I had a 5645 in there, but after @ 10 runs...the gear set stripped out. I pirated the gears from the 5625 to slap in there...worked great for 4 turns of the wheels....then stripped those gears too. So now I have 2 great looking dead servos.....and my Truggy is running with a JR 590 that is WAY too weak for steering...and a JR 270 which is too weak for throttle. lol

Somehow I still managed to finish mid pack at the last race ;-)

It will be a whole new driving experience with some quality servos.

Oh for sure....I'm struggling now with weak servos. If I can drive decent with crap servos....I should be good to go with great ones ;-) It turns like a dump truck at the moment...

Good servos that are pretty cheap, metal geared, high torque and stand up to alot abuse is the Ofna Mutillator Truggy steering servos...I just bought up 2 brand new ones for $50 bucks shipped on ebay for other vehicles I just got done toasting the servos on this week because they handle the mega abuse I inflict on my Mutillator so hopefully theyll make the MT's be able to handle just as much and still be able to operate longer than the ones that were in the trucks before[Traxxas/Futaba].........

Even these servos below are way better than Traxxas brand,- although the splines dont match up to traxxas they sell a retro kit to make them fit...These work great for steering but I use them for throttle/brake with supplied horns aswell as the cheapass MG995's

Since my Truggy is my race vehicle....I want to go with some race proven name brand servos. I use a TowerPro 995 in my Revo and it works....but if it breaks...who cares...I throw it away. If it breaks in the Truggy...I'm out of the race.

Call up carolinasrc, they had two Airtronics 94359 servos for 45 a piece. They may have one left, I bought one of them. It was like new with one race on it. It turns my tires easily on carpet.
200oz. of torque with .10 transit.

He may mail it to you but I had to deal with an employee rather than the boss, he would not mail it to me. Luckily I had a buddy in Charlotte.

I'll check it out. I ended up picking up a JR Z650M this weekend at the swap meet in a trade that I'm going to use for steering for now. 142oz/in....so a hell of a lot better than the 80 I'm running now. If this works fine...I'll buy a fast servo for my throttle and call it a day.

On a good note though...I found an XT8 Body! Local guy has a stash of bodies....Kyosho ST-RR body will fit right on here...and he's going to custom paint it for me to boot!

That 650 won't last two months...wish they would though. The only JR's worth a crap are their 9000 and 9100 series. I just took my 3 old 9000t apart because I thought the gears where worn. turns out all it needs is a new case. The middle gear support on the lid is worn oblong. 9 bucks to fix it. New case is on the way.
