Hey guys got an xl it has the hpi hi torc steering servo and turns fine when off the ground but when its on the ground it doesn't turn its like the servo is stripped but the servo is still moving back n forth like normal and the arm is moving like normal it seems normal going into the steering bell crank and coming out of that it has nothing. It has 4.5 wide tires and the widening kit on it. Any one else experiencing that problem or any one have any ideas? Any help would b great thx guys
 
Just off the top of my head, it sounds like you may need a heavy duty servo saver spring.
 
Thats the spring thats in the bell crank right?
 
Yes...it sounds like you have enough extra weight/width that you're just compressing the spring rather than transmitting the force to actually turn the wheels. That much tire and extra leverage on the steering make it tough on the servo when it's just stationary on the ground.
 
I gotcha do they sell those springs at the LHS and do they come in different weights or just a heavy duty one?
