XL - not shifting into 3rd gear?!

Hi,

My XL is pretty new (one gallon) and during the 3rd run since I bought it it was shifting into 3rd gear just fine and after 1 hour it started to shift later and with greater difficulty until it wasn't shifting at all. What could be the problem? Would needle adjusting help at all? I really don't think it has some broken parts. I adjusted the third gear to shift earlier but it didn't really help. Hmmm...?

Could be temprature, ground you are running on. But from the sounds of it the screw inside has backed off some. Refer to your manual to adjust it back to factory or you can do trial and error. Remember tho shifting is depended on RPM's so if the truck isnt up to its usual temp or it was to cold out that could be your issue.
 
Sounds like your slipper is coming loose. Tighten the nut on the spur about 1/16th of a turn and see if that helps.
 
Ya , try the slipper clutch . If it's still running good and strong the only other thing it could be is that the power isn't getting to the tranny .
