I'm finding that after 10 min of run time my brakes don't grab and eventually leading to no grabbing at all. I've adjusted them accordingly, when brakes are cool it'll stop on a dime, but after some use the must heat up and slip alot. I'm just curious if anyone can recomened a good brake hop-up that'll stay cooler and work longer?

I don't think your brakes should be getting hot enough to make a difference.
I think your problem may be coming from somewhere else, I wish I could help but I'm honestly not sure what could cause that.

Hope you get the help you need!

I don't know what brakes come on the XL but on my Savage X I use the dual disk HPI ones and they work great!
I don't know if they fit the XL though.
Sorry I couldn't help more!

they are the dual disk hpi set-up just like the x, when just bashin around they work fine but as soon as i really get cookin on the ashphalt 2 maybe 3 times and they just don't grab anymore till they cool off. I do realize they are stopping alot of tire mixed with a lot of truck but just trying to upgrade before i end up flying out somewhere i shouldn't.

I had the same problem with my XL. I switched to Stainless Steel, bad move. The pads just kept coming unglued from the plates. I went back to the fiberglass, I cleaned them very well with brake cleaner and they work great. You probably just have some grease on the rotors/plates from the dogbone. At least that was my problem. Hope this helps, good luck.

I found a carbon fibre replacement at the lhs today, i'll give them a go tomorrow. Thanks for the tips.
