to all the people in new york that think there the only one's getting snow, think again! right now its snowing like crazy!
but snow=maxx bashing:naughty:
 
Snow see I found it kinda funny the other day when maxxcrazy talked about the way people maintain there maxxes. I personally would never drive my maxx in WATER, SNOW OR WET MUD. Basically everything that Sky drives his in. I don't want to have to bother with worring about my electronics or bearings rusting and so on.. So to those of you that don't mind the extra maintance have fun in the muck and mush I for one will just let the maxx sit on the bench till its nice warm and dry out. Oh by the way I ran the maxx today it was a nice 70 degree day. Should be even better at the bmx track tomorrow for a bash session when its gonna be 75 and sunny...X

The snow is just too much fun to drive in. But I do clean mine immediately after running, it took me over two hours of cleaning after the last time.
 
X I hate you..... It's about 40 here and hasn't stopped raining for well all week...

I HATE RAIN!!!!! everything else is good though :D
 
Man guys this is the first decent day in over a month we have had a nasty winter this year snow every time I turn around and cold as a witches titty... I live in a suburb of Tulsa Ok...X
 
You guys aint getting all the crappy weather. We have had three nasty ass ice storms, one of them was the worst ice storm in NC history. not to mention several good snows. Its supposed to be nice here in the mid 50s this weekend and my truck is down, all for one damn yoke screw.:doh: Man I'm ready for spring!
 
Blah blah blah....

It was -10 the other morning. Got a 3" "dusting" of snow the other day. We're well over 100" for the season. And tonight I realize I have an itchy trigger finger. I haven't run anything since November. This sucks....

Like NCNitro said, it may be messy but it sure is fun. The day I went mudding and the snow donut day, were both a blast. I enjoy driving my T in nice weather, but like to see what it can take.

A couple of hours of cleaning time is a small price to pay for seeing my T-Maxx throwing mud everywhere or doing donuts all over the neighbor's driveways.

So far, the only thing that is rusting on my T-Maxx are the CVDs and a couple of screws. Nothing a little steel wool and some oil can't fix.
 
Sky, what kind of bearings do you run in your diffs? The little bit of mud I ran in, saw my rear diff input (6x12x4) sieze up tighter than a bride on her wedding night.

Christian reccomended Acer or Bocca, but I can't get those locally. Jeez, I can't even get the Traxxas pos's. I've tried about 6 stores, and no one seems to have them. For want of a bearring, my Maxx is a paperweight.
 
you can get a complete set of sealed bearings by Team Blue Star off eBay for usually about $25. It includes 33 sealed bearings, enough to replace all the traxxas crap bearings on the entire truck. They may not be as good as Boca or Acer but there gonna be a million times better than the traxxas pos bearings. Thats a great price too.

I've been rather fortunate. The only bearings I have had to replace are the axle bearings in the knuckle joints. I replaced the inner four with a set of Dynamite bearings. I only needed to replace one (crushed it like a grape...there was literally nothing left except the retaining rings of the bearing), but went ahead and replaced the inner four.

As for my differentials, the rest of the bearings on my T-Maxx are the stock sets that came with the truck.
