WTF?

Looks like they're moving the CG way forward and running front wheel drive. Seems like a plausable design theory. It'll be interesting to see if they become mainstream or just another WTF for the google search.

If any of you guys have been around since the late 80's, You might remember the "BULLET" wich was actually made by my LHS it was basically a front wheel drive RC10. The best part about them is the fact that the pulled through the corners and would clean house on the rear whell drives. I think that those are just nitro powered front wheel drive buggies. I bet they are a blast to drive.

well my NMT is currently only FWD (not by choice lol) and it absolutely sux ass. While fish tailing on purpose and donuts are fun for a while it has absolutly no traction on anything other then pavement.

The chain drive on the second one is kewl but cannot be very smooth.

I think it would be really hard to get traction to the front wheels.
just my .02.

A 2WD buggy? It would be instresting to see.

I got to see a vintage Koyosho Vanning in action. It was chain driven. It looked like a meat eater. lol

It looks like the first 4 pics are front wheel drive, with engine forward for more traction.
The other pics might be 4WD, but it's hard to tell from the photos.

How late do you think the inventers were up when they came up with those?

They're all fwd. There's no dogbones or CVD's going to the rear wheels.

Also since they are engine foward designs, you would have better traction. I have seen the electric FWD and its actually pretty cool. When you take a 4WD and just break the rear end, it doesn't make it a FWD car. When you change the geometry and move weight though it could be fun.

That was kind of my take on the designs. to have a truely good FWD design, the CG has to be shifted more toward the front. My only concern would be the in-flight areodynamics (how it handles in the air).

Seems to me like the weight distribution would be too far off. There's probably too much weight in the front. I just don't see any advantage to having a fwd buggy

yea it looks crazy but i bet it sucks because it is front wheel drive i left out my rear drive shaft out of my X-TERMINATOR and it sucks does nothing but spin but i would like to try it lol
