I'm looking for a pullstart for an XTM 24.7. I have several rotostart backplates that I'd be willing to trade, in addition to some cash.

Another option is a savage pullstart... I bought the .21 pullstart(not sure if there is a difference from the .25 or the x version though) and it fits perfect and most important it doesn't break..Although you probably already know that..

I tried putting the s25 pullstart (has a sticker on it that says .21 Bigblock) on it, and it literally hangs out too far (about 1/16th of an inch further than the pullstart does on the back of the s25).

I wonder if an Ofna unit will fit? Looks like I'm gonna have to go to a LHS (ugh, I hate dealing with my lhs's).

Aren't the XTM mounts adjustable? You can try grinding a little material off the back of the mounts to allow clearance for the pullstart housing.

I got it figured out. The bushing in the backplate had backed out just enough to cause the pullstart to "high center" (literally). After removing the backplate from the engine, and placing the plate/shaft/bearing assembly on a wooden surface, a couple taps with a rubber mallet and it was cured. The stock HPI pullstart fits like a glove.

I don't need a pullstart for this engine after all. Thanks for the help everyone (this thread can be locked/deleted).
