Sold / Found WTB Traxxs: TMaxx tranny + radom

I figured this would be a shot in the dark, But I would like to try here, with my friends rather than go to my LHS, the one that likes to sell ONLY the aluminum hop ups and other expensive parts...

I got a Traxxs TMaxx in trade recently, and it was in a bit of a disrepaired shape. the front servo (futaba high torqe) brace was TAPED to the chassis and the tranny was completley destroyed on the inside. I pulled up a blow up of the tranny, went and purchased the forward only conversion and a few bearings and another gear. I replaced it all to no avail. I am not seasoned in clutch work, as a matter of fact I have never even torn one down, this will be my first.

So, to make a long story short, I need the entire casing, ball bearing set and all the gears BESIDES the forward only conversion gear, and I also would like to know if anyone has any good ideas about what to replace the stock clutch with, I'm not on a budget here, so a hopped up clutch would do fine. I also need the servo brace for the steering servo and a body for it. I could care less about the body, I just don't want to spend the time and money painting one thats going to get destroyed. Any Tmaxx body in just about any shape will do.

I know, it's kind of a weird request, but again- I don't want some guy trying to sell me all the aluminum gears for the tranny and that's all my LHS says they carry... Do they even MAKE aluminum tranny gears??!

As for the tranny, any thing will work IF it works. I know someone has a suitable replacement sitting in thier pit box.

Hmmm, let me check and see what I got at the house and I'll get back to you! I'm in the process of doing a Maxx build myself and have collected an assortment of redudant parts, so I'll shoot a PM with what I have.

I have the tinny gears and a foc. I think I have all for the foci set up if you like. I have the Cass to but sorry no bearings. For a clutch I like my MIP and it’s only like 12 bucks

Tweaker, MIP or stocker clutch works just fine, brother. What mill you going to run in it?

TRX 3.3 racing/electric start. I also got the stock mill that came on it, with the starter option if anyone is looking for one.

If you haven't purchesed it yet I would recommend NOT getting another Traxx-ass engine....they do not last long compared to the OS .18 mills you could drop into it.....and they cost about the same....no ez start unless you get the tm though.....

Both the mills came with the rig via trade. The 3.3 really hasnt shown any problem, but, again I only got to actually run it for like 5 minutes before I realized there was a big problem with the tranny and shelved it for teardown.

i have a complete t maxx tranny with reverse just laying around waiting to get put in something so you shoot me a pm and make me a offer. I do see they are going pretty hihg on ebay. so make me a offer.

If you are still looking for one, I have a Tmaxx tranny with the forward only conversion installed. PM me for details. Just want to get rid of it so I can give a decent price. It only has maybe 1.5 gallons of fuel on it, the FOC has even less than that.
