I'm not really sure which forum this should be in so i just put it in here. i had a body and when i got the rc-solutions cage i had to cut different holes and i didnt do so good so i need a new body. i was wondering if somebody that has the cage and can paint bodies could buy a body for me, paint it, then cut the holes in it and i'll give them the money. i have no clue how much it would be.for someone that can do this, can you tell me how much you think it would be?? thanks. mods if this is in the wrong forum move it to the one that would be right. maybe the body shop.

Your best bet is to get a unpainted body from an SS kit off of eBay. Get one that comes with the window masks and sticker sheet. It will have the protective coating on the outside so you will be able to mark the spots where you will need to cut the slots for the mounts to the RC Solutions cage. If you have a dremel tool, the 953 grinding stone works well for me to make the slots. Then you can cut the slot for the cage in the bed. I reccomend you not cut out the entire bed as it weakens the body quite a bit. Cut just enough to clear the cage. Then mask the windows, paint, sticker it up and you are good to go.

thats a good idea and i would do it but i have no skills in painting and have no accessories to paint. i might just get the SS body and cut it and leave it clear. has anyone done that? i thought it might look kind of cool. and the only time i would use the body would be when I'm drivin in the rain to keep the electronics kind of dry. and i dont have a dremel ill just use some kind of cutters or scissors. thanks.

Just go to the LHS and get a rattle can of paint for lexan in your favorite color and do a one color paint job. Easy as pie. Good luck making the slots for the body mounts with scissors.

when i said use some scissors i meant cutting the bed out with scissors to fit the cage. not for the holes. ill just use a drill and a drill bit for the holes. but yeah ill do that. thanks again.

you should talk to ScottM as he would know best or even some of the mods as they have the cage. Good luck.

I have an RC Solutions cage and have modified 3 bodies to fit it so far. If I didn't have one, I would have never posted any advice.

If you have a decent lhs, they should help you paint and cut the body or at the least, charge you a fee to do so.
