I've purchased two Nimh hump packs, one for my Savy and one for my RS4 (one is an HPI the other a Team Orion) and I'm looking for a charger. The only other batteries I have are three 7.2 stick NiCds, two for Rotostarts and one for my little girl's Tamiya.

I don't want some $100 peak detection charger and a discharger and all that for three stick packs and two Rx packs. I've got a 4-hour wall charger for the stick packs and that does me fine, so I was hoping someone had an old Nimh wall charger they wanted to ditch cheap.

Let me know...

Thanks...

How cheap do you want? I have an Astro Flight 110D for $50. It is used but still a powerful charger for NiMh and NiCds. Let me know. Thanks.

If you want a cheap RX charger look for the Traxxas RX charger that came with the Revo. I've seen lots of them go cheap on eBay and even on towers they are $29.99. Just keep in mind with Nimh packs you want to peak charge them otherwise you can destroy them if you over charge, specially with the smaller RX packs.

I will second the Traxxas charger. I got mine from ebay for less than $20 shipper, new in box

I have a Black Widow Pro that is excellent condition, if you want pics let me know. I bought it for that very purpose but decided to move onto something a little more advanced. It does both NiMH and NiCD and will run on AC or DC no power supply needed. Say maybe $25 shipped. Let me know what ya think.

You can't do NiCD's with the Traxxas charger.

No kidding... He's looking for Nimh RX pack chargers. The Nicd's he has are the 7.2v sub-c kind that he's already got a wall charger for. Read the whole post.

mavric0, I think he was just pointing that out to him, just a FYI. I'm sure he read the whole post!

Thanks for the info guys...

Fast Eddy, I've found a Orion Nimh charger (wall charger) on Tower for like $10 bucks. It doesn't give details exept for saying "overnight charger". I would think this type of charger would shift to trickle charge or something (like my 7.2 wall charger does) to prevent overcharging.

My lhs sells the Prophet Plus for $39.99...

That's what they recommended to me for my limited needs. Not a bad price, but I was just wondering if anyone had something like that Traxxas charger mentioned laying around because they upgraded to a better charging system.

JetMech, thanks for the offer, but (and maybe I'm just a paranoid newbie at this) but the charger your offering charges at the lowest a 2amp rate. My Nimh pack instructions for both of them say not to charge over a 1amp rate...

It's a decent price, but I'll probably just pick up the Prophet or take a look on eBay...

Thanks guys...

No it's lowest setting is 1 amp, it's 1, 2, 3, 4. If you want a pic let me know.

Hey Maverick, two words FO! psunitro seemed to know what I was saying! Frickin' NOOB! Must have been lost in translation idiot.

Hey MM, sorry to poop on your post.

No prob JM...

I understood the post too... :P

Some people wake on the wrong side of the bed all the time...

I looked up the charger online and the specs said 2 or 4 amp... Oh well, can't trust everything you read on the Internet right? :D

if it were me i would do the one jet has.. its cheeper, will everything you want to do, plus more.. you can charge the sticks in like 15 min, and charge the receiver packs to.. it shuts off when done (peak) so you dont have to worry about over charging and it will connect to a car battery in case you find yourself out at the bash spot with a dead battery.. I've never bought from jet but I've seen pics of his stuff and he seems to take good care of them.. i would trust him if it were me but i already got a dynamite vision peak from eddy so I'm good to go..

plus you keep the "cash flow" "in the family"

OK JetMech...

You've peaked my interest (no pun intended)...

I can't find the Pro version online, just the regular and Elite models...

Can you post up a pic or two? And does it have the adapter for Rx packs or is it hardwired or what?

Thanks for the "reminder" Beason. In the family is best when we can!

I'll do it when I get home, I'm waiting on a late bird right now. The output is hardwired from the unit and has one of the Tamiya type connectors on it. Since I used it for sticks and rx packs I just made a couple of adapters for whatever I needed. Thanks Beason, I do take care of my stuff. I've done a couple deals here but have 100% on eBay if your wondering. ebay id: jetmech93
And as Beason said with this one you can do both and on the NiCD side you won't be waiting 4 hours to charge that pack. I do still have the instructions too. Look for the pics late tonight or the should be up by tomorrow.

Ok here ya go:

As I said, I still have the instruction sheet. I would've kept the box but I picked it up when I was on a trip and ended up having to fly home commercial so I had to save room in the suitcase.

Looks in great shape JetMech...

Will you be throwing in the adapters with it or do you still need them? I really only need the Rx pack adapter since my three sticks all have the Tamiya on it.

Funny I couldn't find that model online. The "Pro" doesn't show up anywhere. The one I found that looks like it but not a pro only has a 2/4 amp switch on it, that's why I questioned it before.

I assume PayPal will do it for ya?

Let me know about the adapter...

Thanks...

nice and simple, yet powerfull. i would so buy this if i didnt have a vision already!! damn i miss all the deals!!!

The little white connector is what I call a Tamiya or at least what I always thought the Tamiya connector was. The adapter I have is to go to the 3 prong futaba type connector or what looks like the J connector (servo). That I use with my Ice. But if my terminolgy is right the Widow should plug right into what you got. PP works:
[email protected] Will ship out tonight if I get out after work but definitely tomorrow before I leave for CA.

JM...

You've got cash...

Just sent you a payment via PP...

Thanks!

I'll leave trader rating upon delivery of the charger. Cool?

And yes, the white connector is what's called a Tamiya style. That will work for my three stick packs. The Futaba type should work for my hump packs. If not I've seen the adapter for a few bucks at the lhs...

Thanks again!
