How old is your son? I am 17 years old and bought some refurbished ones for $180 ( studios ) from the actual website and they aren't as good as they are made out to be, just purchased them because I wanted some over ear headphones for when i'm mowing like 10 lawns a week.

Son is 12yrs old and saved his money. I'll take a look at the website. Thanks.

I'm positive I saw some used somewhere. I'll look and try to find them again for ya.

as a 30 year radio vet, and 20 year on air person, and voice over guy ....stay away from the Beats they are not worth the money! get something like this
http://www.sennheiserusa.com/dj-headphones_504292

at $65.00 they will blow away the dre's and last a lot longer!

i used these for over 20 years...for the money they are the best you can buy

you can find them for around $100 Sony MDR-v6 and they last forever! i have had the same pair for the last 15 years! and i crank these bad boys and they still sound as clean as the day i got them !

I have some Sennheiser HD280s and they are unbelievable. I have never tried the beats, but the Senns are great. They should be $100 new.

Beats aren't that great. Sennheiser are really good as are my favorites by Klipsch.

Agreed, beats sound really boomy and not well balanced across the frequency range. But I guess that's their focus though. Both of the above are killer headphone, the klipsch's are unbelievable. Someday, if I can stop buying RC stuff. :D
