That is pretty spendy for an Axial too...for that much, buy you a Picco P3 .28 or an LRP .28 or .30. They will out run and out pull the .32 anyway. I will keep a look out anyway though.

I typed a long essay on why not to buy an Axial....then deleted it. Don't waste your time, fuel and money on the POS. That pretty much sums it up. Take it or leave it. i agree with Joey.

I know alot of people have bad experiences with Axial's but I have had a .28 spec 1s and right now on both my savy and my truggy, a .28RR, I have liked the engine alot the spec 1s wasn't so good but the RR is great, of course I have never owned a Picco or LRP so I'll have to take your word for it and do some digging, Thanks.

I have had two Axial Spec 1s and the were pretty good until they hit the two gallon mark. They they went to poop. But they were great until then. LRP....is the shiznit. Love the .28s. They are amazing. Picco, I am rediscovering (bad experiance long time ago) but about the same as LRP

From friends who have solid experience and mod motors, they all told me to go LRP Picco or Losi 454 which is an awesome mill for the buck.
Saving the long technical explainations but an LRP Z 28 or 30 or a picco P3 , losi 454 will put the 32 RR to shame on every possible level. THey are not biased or trying to sell me something but just share their esperience in both running and modding them.
This said i just bought an Axial and i think it s an awesome mill.. for 50 bucks but if you re about to spend 150 or more get one of these above and you will not be disapointed.

ok so surfing the net and found out about these axial motors and i found a .28 spec 1 and a .28rr-2....and seeing what has been said what is the major malfunction with these motors....what is it that makes them not so reliable or why is it they are not good motors..............just give me the low down on why not to buy one

i dont know we a 32 on a mgt 21 it wasn't much better i know guy with os small blocks that are faster i thinnk one is th os max 18 and one is the 21 on traxxas thought and they fly

Cheap bearings, poor manufacturing tolerances, TERRIBLE customer support....
A buddy of mine bought 4 Axial .28's at one shot to mod and sell. All 4 engines where timed completely different. No consistency. He agreed with me 100% on their bearings, total junk! He throws them away immediately. Axial .28's modified and good bearings installed are blistering fast and much more user friendly. The .32 is and will always be a dud. Poor design from the start, + the above problems. Buy a LRP .30.

I have an LRP 28 as my backup motor...if the 30 is anything like it...you won't be dissappointed. It RIPS. Almost too much power...but then again there is no such thing as too much power!!!
