saw this at www.acehardwarehobbies.com a rbws7-2 packaged with there full exhaust system for 384.00.I've been trying to decide between this and a v-spec or a rbmods s7 but thas sounds like a good deal.wish my lhs carried the rb line but all they have is a v-spec or the kanai sirio.

you wont be sorry if you get the rb mods s7. i had the oppotunity to race one recently and its nothing but power and fuel economy. the guy was pitting about one minute more often than me (os v-spec modded by rb mods) but it had some insane rpm. nobody could believe he was only running at 200F. while the s7 had rpm on me, i had a lot more low-end which helped for the majority of the track. if you can swing $385 for a motor, i would have to suggest the v-spec with the mod by rick. he is truely a genious when it comes to mods. another option would be to check out his line of crono motors. they will have as much power as you would ever need.

thanks for the insight flash,I've been trying to find the best motor to put in my new buggy that will have lots of useable power, easy to tune and last a long time.I'm new to 1/8 scale buggy so this will be my 1st .21 and i know that my .15 sirios in my other trucks out run my sons rtr motor 2 to 1 in fuel econmy, only drawback is you set the rtr and forget it.the sirios are a pita to keep in tune. any opnions on the rb c5? this seems to be rb's newest buggy engine but i dont here much talk about it.

No, the C5 has been around for quick a while, it is stupidly powerful at the mid-high end of the rev range and it all comes in, in one go. Awesome power.

The S5 is much more recent and a very good engine but its is down on power compaired with WS7's, V-specs etc etc, but a friend of mine has one of these and did very well this year with it. Sometimes you CAN have too much power.

id buy a ws7 Rb or a nova 421b, or a vspec all are proven motors for durability and performance, rb ws7 are pretty much set and forget as long as you arent changing temp drastically or alltitude and even then the not far off just a few tweeks and there away, all high performance motors are going to be a little more touchy than a cheap rtr motor

any thoughts on the collari lc21-b7?saw this engine in a mag and they said it was a screamer and was blowing right buy other buggys down the straights.this motor is under 300.00 but I'm starting to lean towards the s7 for 225.00

The RB S7 screams like a bat lit on fire. It's very fast. It's a very safe bet if you ask me. 225 is a very decent price too. As for the collari's, I just snagged a nib B3 (3 port) version off ebay. The engine quality seems to be on par with my old S5. I donno, it's up to you. Do you like yellow or orange? :D
