with these engines you can either get an awesome one or a piece of #$%@....
Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.
Also, just because its a .27 doesn't mean that it will compare to a comparable O.S. engine......

Good luck

good for and idears or something that sum1 has and dnt wanna wreck a good engine on but

There are a couple of vids of the engine running on youtube. Hey..for $60 even if it doesn't run any good, makes a great paper wieght...lol

That's probably 3.6HP on the Dyno...with no vehicle under it and no resistence. As far as I know...there aren't any motors that push that kind of HP in the real world. I think the .27 in my Warhead was rated for 2.1 or something silly, but it was a slow turd ;-) I dug a little deeper and it was pushing @ .9 RWHP so big drop off there.

I say it's worth a shot though. Worst case you lose $60. That's not the end of the world. Probably make a decent basher motor anyway.

NO ONE BUY THAT PIECE OF CRUD!

Listen to this quote from another forum I'm on

"Stay away!!! They are absolute junk!!! You pay $60 and all you will get is a nice paper weight!!!
I got one of these engines in a trade a while back. It was still sealed in the package. The motor lasted about a half gallon and all pinch was gone!!!"

I'd heed his warning....

And it does not make 3.6hp at 37000 RPM. All HP ratings are a freakin lie! Only a engine dyno can prove the real amount of HP an engine has.

CPX.....I think that is the same engines they put in the HiSpeed/Himoto/Redcat Racing vehicles. It might be ok but don't expect it to be an animal. Like has been said....good luck with it and we will see what happens. I had a .18 and it was a better engine than the Stupid Tiger that was in the Warhead but that is not saying a lot.

Competition ready .27CXP Nitro engine with pull starter for 1/8th Scale nitro-powered remote controlled cars, trucks, buggies and truggies.

Its made in Japan.I beleive O.S. are made in Japan. It is probably a pos but worth a go for $60.00.You could buy four of them for what one O.S. cost.

the only engine i know that dynos more than 2 hp is a picco .28. thats one sick mother. the picco .26 is like 1.6 though which is good cause the 3.3 is only like .9 hp. personally id take an os .21vz and port it myself
