This forum (rcbros.com) is a joke. Every post i have seen on that forum sounds like they are coming from f'ing 10 year olds sucking up to the GOD rcbro.... Too bad they are in Oregon.

http://rcbros.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3252&PN=0&TPN=1

Look at this thread about a deal that i had with this loser. He thinks he is REALLY tight because he is partially sponsoring the oregon rcproseries so he NEEDS the best body in the world. He paid $45 each because he offered me advertising, so i was like alright, untill i discovered how rediculous the forum was. This was such a waste of time and frusteration and definitely not worth it. The first paintjobs werent even bad, and somewhat good for the complete misery of trying to work with far too less Liquid mask. Then i go ahead and order him another pair of brand new bodies, and I'm waiting for the rcbros masks from Andy (no hard feelings man, but i still havent gotten them). Yesterday he messages me on AIM, "I am going to have to go with someone else if i dont see some progress soon. I need them by the 12th." Meanwhile i am 110% sure he said by the 31st multiple times. I wouldnt have even ordered decals if it was for the 12th because it was way too early. So, i had to just say, "You know what? heres your money, i am done with you. Goodbye." Sorry about this, i am just so fed up with this crap. I am really glad it is over.

*runs and paints more bodies*

You didnt get the 2nd set? I sent them out a while back, havnt heard from ya in a while so I thought they showed.. Man, I've been losing stuff in the mail alot lately. I sent Nc some roof decals the same day and he hasnt gotten his either. I also had a dozen shirts get lost somewhere between here and about 60 miles from me, and Usps wont do anything until after 3 weeks. (Whats the point of confirmation then?).
Lemme know and Ill get it taken care of. If ya dont need the Rcbro ones now, I can just either refund ya, or send ya extra gem ones. Ill fricken Ups them if I have too..lol..

Thanks alot Andy, i don't know what the hell is happening with shipping these days, but its alright. I really dont want to see RCBROS on the same decal sheet as my name anyway. I don't need a refund or anything, so don't worry about it. But maybe when you get a chance, the gem decals sound nice lol I know how it feels to be nailed by something that wasn't your fault.

No offense intended, but I would not have been very pleased with this body either. I have seen the Dallas Cowboys body you painted and it friggin rocked. It had nice, distinct, clean lines. At least in the picture you took it looked fantastic - only Bad LS1 could dispute this. The body made for RCbro on the other hand.... yea, not so much. What is with the scratches in the window? And in this picture,
JPG320.gif
you can see various paint scratches, splattered lines, ect.

Now I do not condone the way in which RCbro conveyed his feelings towards your work, but I can understand him being upset. Especially after seeing pictures of your other works in your gallery and how they looked so good. You did sell yourself short on this particular job. Perhaps he asked for a time line that couldn't be met and/or changed on you, but his complaint is reasonable.

As a disclaimer, I do not know RCbro nor anyone else on the rcbros forum [first time visit there with this thread]. I am just putting in my :2cents:

After seeing that pic I do have to agree with BigRed, not your best work. I also would have been quite upset had I recieved a lid that looked like this. I also agree he could have handled his displeasure a bit better, and the other ass clowns on that site, well I don't want to open that can up.

Anyway, if you are gonna paint for hire you need to take pride in your work, and sometimes if a lid comes out bad, bite the bullet, buy a new lid at your expense and just repaint it.

I had done a real fire lid for Zandor, it was definately not up to my standards, nor was it near the quality Zandor would have expected from me. So I just purchased a new lid and repainted it all at my own expense, but in the end he was extremely happy with it.

Just a little friendly advise and constructive criticism, I hope you don't take it the wrong way.

Yeah, I agree about the quality. It was definitely not my best work, but have you guys ever had to deal with barely enough masking to paint a body? That was my worst experience EVER. I did take the bodies back and luckily the new customers were pleased with the bodies, and purchased him new ones and I was just getting ready to paint them up nice and professional untill he moved the date. That just blew my fuse and i just gave him back his money.

I would be dissappointed if i recieved these aswell, the LSP more than the 8ight, but o well. Time to move on and improve. I can't wait to test out these new techniques i learned!

but have you guys ever had to deal with barely enough masking to paint a body? That was my worst experience EVER.

Actually yes. The first time I ever used liquid mask was a total nightmare, I used way to little, a swore I would never use it again. But when Monkey wanted a cartoon body I really had no choice. And when used correctly, like 4 heavy coats, the stuff is awesome! BUT, it's still no excuse, it was not the customers fault you did not use enough lm. A lesson learned, the hard way, lol.

I bet you will use enough lm next time, lol. I have seen your work, and you do some very nice stuff, that body was definately not a good example of what you are capable of, and at your age you are only going to get better and better. Just put this behind you as a learning experience and move forward. No go paint something!

Yeah, i definitely learned that lesson. The past 3 bodies I've done i put a ton on lol

Yeah, I've messed up a few bodies not using enough liquid mask. I vowed off it myself, but gave it a second chance, and now lay it on and love it. I'm still new to the stuff really so I find myself cutting and peeling stuff out of order..lol..

When painting bodies for other people youll get ones that aint so happy every now and then. Thats just part of the game and why alot of people dont like painting for others. I get alot of "Paint me something cool" as there descriptions. Well what I think is cool, may be WAYY off what they think is cool. Prime example, I had a kid who found my website and wanted me to paint a touring body for him. His only desription was "something sic". I emailed him back asking if he had anything in mind and I got back "Just something cool". After explaining to him about what I think is cool and what other may think is cool, he sent me a email back and wanted a mighty mouse theme.. Now to me, thats not cool at all. So if I would have painted "my cool" (Flames, skulls, iron cross's, etc..) he might have been really unhappy. He later changed his theme to Pepsi..

Haha... Mighty Mouse? wtf? lol. Well, i can't wait to finish Neobart's bodies (3). They are gonna look tight! Then this one guy recently emailed me about painting 7 bodies of a relatively simple scheme, so I'm pretty stoked. I think after that I'm done painting for people untill the summer comes.

I just hope you haven't run out of liquid mask. :p: :green-grin:
