Ey lads, just discovered last night that when i'm WOT on the transmitter, the carb isn't opening all the way... the servo can go further which in turn opens the carb further, but the servo hasn't got the balls to do it.

Just wondering if i'm missing out on top end speed in this case? It still goes pretty quick, so i'm not sure.

I doubt it's a weak servo, unless you replaced the stock unit. Try adjusting the linkage or centering it on the splines of the servo. Before taking it apart, turn up the trim to see if it will move farther.

its something in the radio. with the truck off, floor it. the while the carb is WOT, adjust the throttle trim so it would be increasing the throttle it it were in the neutral position. it opens way more that when its not trimmed up.

i wouldn't mess with it though. i think of it as a rev limiter.

ok i'll try that, might even try shortening the rod from the carb knob to the pivet, becuase it's not a trim issue.

you'd have to be mighty creative with that one. but be careful. like i said, its like a rev limiter. it'll keep ur engine from killking itself.

it's got no tacho, so it can't over rev!!!! hahaha... said that bout my last car too... it died. tree killed it though, not over revving =)
