Ok guys I've got to repair my revo from last night. While i am at my LHS i want to get a worthwhile upgrade.
Right now i have a few options
swaybar kit
Steel CV shafts.
Spool for rear diff
not sure what else is good.
Now i am a backyard basher but i like to run my truck on pavement as well. I want my revo to handle large jumps with ease and also handle really well on the pavement.
So what would you guys suggest i buy today?
 
the swaybar would help handling on the pavement. thats the next investment I'm going to be putting in my revo.
 
swaybar kit is a good upgrade. . .are your cv shafts busted cuz if they are not i wouldn't worry about changing them till they break. . .
 
i almost bought the swaybar kit. But i ended up getting a receiver pack for my truck. I took the THS exhaust back to the LHS and even they could not get it to fit right. So they took a loss on it and i swapped out for the receiver pack and an adapter to go with my charger. I think the receiver pack will pay for itself pretty fast as much as i run my truck.
 
Sway bar kit is a good thing for a more racer style driving. The CVDs are nice but if they are not broke I wouldn't worry about it. I would STAY AWAY from the rear spool unless you plan on shelling a tranny. They are very hard on transmissions. If you ever touch pavement I would not do it. Only if you only drive straight lines or on soft dirt. I learned the hard way. A receiver pack is a for sure good thing can't go wrong with it.
 
well i can already tell a difference with the receiver pack. Turns alot faster and throttle and brake response are 100% better. 90% of the time I'm on either a hard packed clay track or in the back yard which is mostly grass and sand. Only time i run on the pavement is at the end of the day. I run on the pavement after bashing just to check steering trim and make sure nothing has gotten out of whack after bashing. I also use the pavement to tune the LSN.
