In my revo i put a p2-28 and have no idea what gearing to use. I want to be able to beat any savage in a drag race on the road but i still want to be able to run at the track. The track I run at is just a ovel track with a double and a table top, and its made out of sand. But we are going to build a new track with a straight away and woops and the whole sha-bang, but it will be made out of packed dirt. I need gearing that will be good for both drag racing ( just between my and my friend) and good for track.:constipat

Revo in stock trim out performs a savage. It comes down to your driving.

With that engine it's hard to say. I ran my 3.3 with 15/38, it outran most trucks like that.
I have 16/38 on my 21 TM for the moment. It will see it's first race next weekend.
What CBs do you have?

I'm kinda new to the hobby I dont know apr. what is " cb's'

nevermind i only have a 16 but its not a problem to but a new one or a few

No idea what you said.

I have ran a 3.3 Revo next to a Savage 25 3 speed,Savage with a Os 30 AND an LST. The only one keeping up with it is the LST.3 speed savvy was close but the LST just pulled away from it everytime.

I meant i have a 16t clutchbell, but if needed i can go buy another clutchbell or a couple more.

I've heard about 18/36 all the way up to 20/34 for gearing but i dont know which gearing will be the best.

With the stock wide ratio in a 3.3 Revo the 38/15 works well.40/16 would be a good compromise also between track and drag.38/16 is probably as tall as I would go.

I am currently running 16/38 gearing, but the Picco .28 just has way too much power for that. Its just a wheelie machine.

i can believe that, the P3 is one of the stronger mills out! What do you expect man? You got what you asked for!
Bump up to a 18 Tooth and see how it goes.

Its was the largest clutchbell the hobby shop had for the revo at the time. I know that was crazy but i got what i could to get the truck running cause my old steel spur striped out my old clutchbell. Thanks for the help

I dont think i have to worry about the track with this truck because at our small track it is just me and a couple of buddies, one who has been the the hobby for about 5 years, so i have no chance against him yet anyway, and the other one just started) Most of the time I'm achually at the track by myself. When i start racing at a real track i will prob get a truggy, and not make the same mistake of getting greedy when it comes to power.
