She's beautiful. Now what's some of the things I need to do to make her in tip top shape?

Right now i'm gonna get a 5 cell battery pack and diff lock. I've got the reverse module but need to install it. And i'll have a failsafe.

I'm not gonna start her up until after finals which is on tuesday.

Congrats, your gonna have a blast!!! CVD's, tuned pipe, motor-saver air filter for starters.

i'll eventually swap the engines in time....

oh yeah, i gotta buy some 20% fuel too....I want this engine to last

cuz i don't wanna run to move it when it gets stuck...besides, i have no plans on racing

congrats on the purchase. I saw the pics in your gallery. nice! Tell us how she runs today (Tuesday)

As soon as finals are over which is at 1pm, i'll be starting her up...too bad the battery pack i bought costed a whole shitload 40 bucks and I was near broke so I only had enough money for a quart. I'll get her broken in and have one or two play tanks b4 i need to buy a gallon :(

congrats kwong! let us know whatcha think of her!

Since u are low on funds, here is a little tip:

spray paint your dogbones neon orange, or another bright color. That way, when u lose one, u can find it easily. hope that helps ya till u can get the CVD's!

I"m not broke ya know? I only had 60 bucks on me when i went to the hobby shop..hehe

I don't really plan on putting any money into the truck (I probably will though...lol)

Do the dogbones really just fall out?

not that easily, i dont have a savage, but have had dogbones in other vehicles, and in the event of a minor crash, they tend to fly away. check with some of the savage owners here, and find out if they dissapear as easily.

the stock black DBs break. I've bashed the crap out of mine and have not had one come out, but I have had two rear center DBs break. I've heard that the stock outdrive DBs also break easy (relatively easily, not like easy easy). They should be alright till you start giving it hell. Good choice on the savage BTW.

welll...i couldn't help it, so I tried to run 1 break in tank....it's only half way through that one tank and it took 25 minutes!!!!!!

I gotta goto school so i'll finish that tank when I get back

This's gonna be a long break in period, my neighbors are gonna hate me!
