i have an hpi savage and cannot get it started? i have replaced the glow plug and charged the igniter...i also have got a new can of fuel? it ran fine one day and the next daY it would not start? can anyone help me?

Well thats a tough one. There a million things it could be. Tuning issue is just one of them. try going back to factory settings and trying that. I don't know what else to tell you.

Reset the needles on the carb to the factory settings. Once you get it started, bring it up to temp, and begin to tune the low speed needle first, then once it idles and takes off ok, tune the high speed needle.

I hope you have a temperature guage before you try to start it, if not you definitely need to get one. I'm not a tuning expert, but Rolex is the all time master at asking questions and diagnosing tuning problems over the computer, and if you do EXACTLY what he says, he will have it tuned perfect.

First step is to check if the fuel is reaching the crab. There may be a choke up at the end of the fuel pipe which is attached to the carb because of some oil deposits.
Clear the pipe and then re attach it to the crab.
Prime the engine and then try starting it.

If you have a fuel filter check it out, it could be clogged. The best way to eliminate a fuel issue is to take off the airfilter and put fuel right in the carb opening and try starting it. If it fires and runs for a second, then your motor is fine and its a fuel problem. If it doesn't fire up try it again just to make sure and then I would say it is deeper in your engine.

Make sure the glow plug you put in is good, plug it in in your hand and make sure it lights up before putting it in, that will eliminate the glow plug as the problem.
good luck

Oh yea, one more thing. If you try to start it for a while and it wont start, there's a good chance that you'll run down the igniter battery fairly quick, so be sure that it has a fresh charge.

thank all of you for your help..will try all the things you told me. i will let you know if it starts...thanks again

here are a list of possibilities.
you arent getting fuel 2 your carb. adjust your high speed needle and your low speed needle. you could have alot of stuff clogging ur fuel filter.
glow plug no good. glow plug starter no good. exc...

re won't start

got a new glow plug...and i have two glow plug igniters , have tried both...didn't know there was a fuel filter? will look at that problem ...THANK YOU

Ya your fuel filter its supposed to be on the fuel line between the fuel tank and the carb. Your engine could be flooded now too...
