Hey there, I can't seem to get my new revo 5309 to shift... It is tuned very well and works great but it just wont shift. I tried to adjust the shift point but that doesn't do a thing either.. How far out from tight should the shift point screw be out?? It hooks up very good so I dont think it is the slipper either..
Thanks for any help!

When I first got my revo it wouldn't shift either. Make sure your temps are 235-265 and then back the screw out. Small adjustments go a long way. Be sure you don't back it out to far because it will fall out and you have to tear the trans all apart to fix it.

I will see about the temp, I dont have a temp gun right now but will try to find something. Thanks.

So how far out from tight is the adjustment screw supposed to be?

This may sound crazy to most of you but when I got my first Revo I had the exact same problem. My truck ran great and was tuned just fine but would not shift unless I leaned it out to run way too hot. After fighting it for what seemed like forever, I discovered that my carb wasn't openning correctly. I was only actually getting about 1/2 throttle. It is a simple thing to check.

Pop your air filter off, turn on the tx/rx, engine OFF, squeeze the throttle and look at the carb barrel to see how far it's opening.
