Woah.. is this normal?!

Took the clutch apart today to ATTEMPT at installing 49/16 gearing with a plastic spur, but I can't find the spacer I need for the spur.

Anyway.. I knew my clutch got hot, but I don't know how normal this is... Springs cutting into the CB? If this is abnormal, this MAY have been related to the grinding/binding issues with the improperly installed brakes.

It looks like your clutch shoes are worn down too far. It is normal if the shoes are not changed on time.

I 'think' they were pretty new when I changed the bell out last week. Not sure if they're worn down TOO far now. Was gonna pick up a vented CB, but wasn't sure if I needed it with a plastic spur.

Did you switch to a new bell? I ask because when the bell comes in the packaging, it has oil on it. All the oil on it causes excess slippage. Correct preparation to a clutch bell can make your shoes last a lot longer.

I wiped it down.. I noticed the oil, and just ran a rag thru there. onder2:
