Less than a week with my new truck and i'm already in R/C withdraw!!! It's been raining all day and the forecast says it's going to rain all the way up to sat :( Never spent so much time on you tube in my life, lol. Sorry for the whining, just had to get it off my chest.

oh believe me
I'm far worse off than you are
we only had barely even1 sunny day a week here

Mental Note, dont move to Vancouver! Sorry to hear that, is it always like that there or just bad luck with the weather?

Been quite some time scince it rained here, heck some one told me that the Govanator even called it a draute and they want us to cut back on how much we water...

Get some micro rc's .. that way when it's raining you can play inside!

i have about 50 micros.. i even made a track once... i know there not quite the same thing but still lots of fun!

i had the same problem. its a cunning and baffling desiese. but we all
understand. my remedy was to buy more rc's. with more rc's comes more room. so then youll have to get a hobby room as well. thats when the fun starts. once you have a complete hobby room, the possibilties are endless. i dont work in the winter, so its imperitive that i have a place to go, or my wife will "kill" me!! i think you need more rc's.

Shoot...It is always raing here on Okinawa Japan. I guess that is what comes with a tropical island :)

Yup I hear ya....my back yard is a swamp almost. Looks like time to go beat up the golf course across the street.....you first....and I just checked the weather.....rain all weekend.....blaaa

Micro's are a good suggestion, but i have 1 tiny issue:

I'LL DRIVE THE CAT CRAZY! *insert evil laugh here*

I had a micro and it was ok. But then I built a crawler. I have A LOT more fun with it indoors than I did with the micro. I never dreamed I would like a crawler but it's my favorite aspect of RC now, and I have 15 really nice rigs, including a 5b SS, so that says a lot. With the crawler, you can just set up pillows and other obstacles like firewood and stuff. With 5 pillows I can crawl for about an hour before it's time to find another obstacle or reconfigure the pillows.

Grrlracer, I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed this thing. I never guessed that I would like it because I'm into hot rods and drag racing in full scale, and I've never been into lifted trucks or anything personally. So I just figured it would be boring to go slow like that. Boy was I wrong. A friend brought his Wheely King project to the house and it was DIALED. I was in love and was ordering crawler parts within a week. I'm now building my second rig that will be more comp oriented, and I'm going to my first big comp in a few weeks.

If you have any questions about a crawler or want to get started I don't mind helping you at all. I've already helped two other members get their rigs and get into crawling since this build, and there will be more. It's cheap to get involved with too, you can get the RTR axial for around $230 shipped, and you can get the kit version like this which is a lot better for $200, then add around $100 worth of electronics to get going. $100 is the minimum, of course you can spend as much as you want. I went brushless and LiPo and spent about $300

charliestheman that thing is soo COOL !! looks like a spider

i would love to see a video of it crawling over rocks..(now i'm asking too much! lol)
i honestly have never seen anything like it and i didn't even think of a truck crawling over rocks like that... awesome!

P.S.Thanx for the pix!

Only weather problem we have down here is the drivers overheating, it's 98F today!:gulp: For the most part I can rc 365 days a year.:)

Yeap Scrogg knows his stuff about the revos. I'm the same way, its way too hot outside for the drivers, but we can run pretty much year around. It might be 30 degrees for a few days in December, but then that third day will be in the 60s. It's so hot in the summer though that I've had to take to crawling at night.
