Starting my first painting project. A Baja Bug body for my 18t. I'll get some pics as I work so everyone can snicker at the painting noob. :gulp:

Good luck man. Key is to just take your time. Be sure to post up pics! We like pics..hehe Have fun!

Exactly what Andy said.. Take Your Time.. That kicks my ass everytime I do a body. I get so excited I forget a step and it's ends up messin up the look. Be patient. Good luck!

I've gotten the body masked. I am now working on getting the technique down by painting the inside of old 2-liter soda bottles. Once I get this down I'll get to work on the body.

Found out after reading some painting tips on other forums and here that I need a water separator and pressure regulator for my compressor. Am trying to round these up for my painting toolkit.

I dont even either of those and my airbrush seems to work fine. I would paint a couple bodies and see if you really need it.

Hey I just pinted a Losi Baja for my Revo.....we will have to compare notes.....I have a compressor ....but I rattle canned this one....man I suck.

;)

Just got the Blue on the Baja Beater today. No pics as my camera is broken. Will post when I can swipe a new one.

The reason they recommend a regulator and water separator is to keep moisture out of the airbrush, which causes it to shoot blobs of paint. The regulator is to help fine tune the air pressure so that you can use thinner paints without having them dry before it hits the body.
