thats similiar to the kleins i have now. i am looking for self adjusting and not universal. The problem is that i wear out the cutting edges and i have to go to a guage smaller to strip the wire. I am looking for one with a replaceable blade since i strip around 5-6K wires a year.

These....Fully automatic. Different brand but same thing.

had those too. the metal section that holds the wire scars the insulation. Those don't have depth adustment either. thats another thing i am looking for.

browse grainger and see if there is anything else you like

man i must be old school, i either bite it off or use a razor blade. but for that low gauge wire, the thick stuff, i always use a pair of dykes (diagonal cutter)

Dang, you need to go to an electrical supply house and see what they have. With that many wires you'll need some professional wire strippers.

When I go work with my uncle doing a/v stuff we use the kleins and the work great..Isn't klein supposed to be a really good tool company?

Man I came in here to see strippers and it's just a bunch of tools... the story of my life. Well I would give advice but now I gotta go to the other site since I've got strippers on the mind.

The klein's work great but only last about a year if i am building panels. They would last forever for the occasional user

I ordered the knipex ones yesterday evening since they seem to be decent. I should have themn today.

haha, thats good for a few wires but thats it. I have certain tolerances for length of the stripped end as well.

gottem in and i love them. they even have a dial so you can make minute depth adjustments based on your insulation
