OK Here's the plan........Make one bad*** Electric Brushless REVO!!!!! I got the first part the other day, a chassis, off Ebay for $10.66. I plan on getting most of my parts off Ebay I have had really good luck getting things there. Anywho...next will be the bulkheads, arms, knuckles, and so on. I know of one issue I'll have to deal with will be the transmission, and the one-way bearing inside....It won't let the Motor act as a brake. Ihave considered two ways around this.....1. use a tranny from an E-maxx...but I would need special CVD's, or would traxxas halfshafts work? Could they handle the power? Could I even fit the E-maxx Tranny in a REVO? What about the Savage 3-speed tranny? Could I make it fit?
2. keep the brake servo activated with special wiring.
Another hurdle to overcome will be battery placement. I plan on making several "saddle" type packs, so they won't take as much space as 6-cell packs. I'll make a special wiring harness to hook them all up. I have also considered using Li-po batteries to save weight and space, but they are very expensive, and I am not set up for them yet.
There will be other things to deal with, I'm sure, I've tried Nitro this year, and It's a blast allright, but for racing-- give me an Electric! Clean, Quiet, Reliable power.
Any way let me know what you guys think, Mark
