I only got to drive my MTX-3 a couple of times last year, and not at all on a track. It is my first on=road, and I'm kind of jonesing to drive it soma more. Especially since I painted an HPI Home Improvement Saleen body for it. Didn't put any Home Improvement stuff on it though. Hope to have a Digi after X-Mas sometime. Hopfully for X-Mas, but I'm not holding my breath. Anyways, how do you on-road guys make it thru the winter? Anyone race indoor on-road nitro, or do you just do electric?

The only thing at the track near me is indoor electric micro racing.

Yeah I do nitro off road indoors in the winter. I don't think there is an indoor nitro on-road around here. Just wondered if anyone did, as I know there are quit a few on-road only guys in the forum.

Not too many nitro indoors here in the big apple. I race onroad carpet. This is my first time doing carpet and all I can say is that it is fun. The cars move and handle like a dream, when setup is on the money.

I've seen some video of carpet racing. Man that is fast. Especially the 1/12 scale cars. Closest place with that to the Columbus area is Cleveland, and that is a bit far. Plus I don't have a electric. I wonder why there is alot of off road indoor nitro, and not much, if any on road indoor nitro.

I don't know if I'd want to go to a nitro indoor event. I started my car a couple times in the back of the house and boy, I stunk the whole house up. Wife/kids complained! ;)

It's not bad if the barn is big enough. The barn at my local track is about 60X200 with I'm guessing 16 foot ceilings.

I do some 1/18th carpet racing for the winter. Too cold and no tracks to run the nitro's on the East coast.

When I had my RS4, I ran it whenever there wasn't any snow on the roads. Went into some snow banks a fwe times because I was just learning last winter. Don't have any on-road anymore except for a Micro, I will just race that inside. (Hasn't come yet :()

indoor racing nitro oval

Hey buddy you are in luck we will be starting are indoor series the second saturday in january One up One down RACING LOCATED in highland heights ohio inside the armory.

FN sweet! Highland Heights isn't that near Cleveland? Do they have a web sit yet? See if you can find out the steet address of the Armory so I can Mapquest it please.

How about that. Nitro on-road right here in Ohio.

It's not on the web. A couple of my buddies went up there, and shot a little video with an analog cam. Sorry, I'm not that good to convert it to digital, and find a host for it.

Oh well... I have a decent digi cam, that also shoots minute long videos, that play on Windows Media Player. I'm gonna try and get some footage this weekend.

Good luck. I've only seen one digi cam video, and it wasn't all that great. Could have been the cam though. I don't know. The picture wasn't bad, it was just real choppy. Let us know how it turns out.
