What is the absolute cheapest cheapest way to put a wing on a revo. I've maxxed out my budget for now, but I think I can safely squeek this past the boss! Help bro's!

Hey VB have you checked out Ebay for the Tekno wing mount? I may go that route after breakin the 3.3 in.

Jon I did buy the tekno mount, I went with A-main hobbies. It cost me $31.05 for the wing mount, jammin crt wing, and shipping. It was super easy to install, but I have yet to run it so I can't comment on that.

I'm hoping that it will add enough downforce and or weight to keep the front end up while jumping. I find it nose heavy. Time will tell.

I am looking at that too but again, the Revo is for bashing.

Let me know how yours jumps, it will have even more weight in front because of the extended chassis. I may have a bit of brake drag that I'm not noticing.

I want o add the Rear brake but damn it the freaking center diff option is not available yet. GRRRRRR I have yet to run her and I wnat all the upgrades!!! I will post up my progress.

Do you guys think the Revo with the center diff will keep up with truggys?

VB add some 1 or 2 oz tire weights somewhere up front if your tail heavy. I'll say this regarding wings, they do effect performance. Me and another guy were messing with the angle during a weekend after we had the track down pretty well and could run some real consistent laps. After one adjustment we both noticed like .2 and .3 second improvements over our quickest laptimes.

Hey Smaxxin, IMO, I don't think it will hang with a truggy even with the center dif. It's still a gear reduction tranny so it won't even be in the same class at any of the major events to be able to see with "pro" drivers. They're just two different animals.

I can tell that the 3.3 is going to be nose heavy. The car is not balance at the handle and leans forward eventhough most of the bulky stuff is on the back. I think she will still fly well.

I haven't tried it with the wing yet though. I'll keep you guys posted when I do try it out.

GS Storm wing mount, takes a drill but works. I prefer it over my tekno mount.

Jet, are you referring to the wing mount set for the GS CL-1 buggy? Just making sure I'm hunting for the right mount you reference. Part number I have is GSC-CL020.

It's the original GS Storm. I don't know the part number but I picked it up before the CL-1 was out. You can also use a Mugen MBX-4 or 5 wing mount, they are almost the same. I say 4 in the event you run into a place that still has some 4 parts.

I just got one from my lHS. The part number straight from the package is GSC-ST056.

I have it put together but not on my Revo. Do you have any pics of your setup? I think I am going with making a cross brace then mounting it to the body mounts. Then mounting the wing mount to the cross brace. Any thoughts?

I can try and get some later, all I did was sand off the rear bumper mounts and then drill it up to mount as high on the body mount brace that I could so it would sit as high as possible.
