Windshield venting

I am currently building a Kyosho FW-06 (my first nitro) and found a great G82 M4 lexan body that i plan to match to my personal G80 M3 CS.

Question is, do i need to cut vent holes in the windshield and rear window for air flow? if so, how big is the minimum?

I've seen enough people drive without vent holes, though I can't really talk about it myself as I usually run without bodies. lol

Making a hole in any body is not reversible, try to run it first without the vents and if it gets too hot with the right tune you're left with one choice.

I took a look at the body you're wanting to use. I see your dilemna. Sharp looking. Tough to cut up. But, you're probably not going to have a choice. Unless you plan to put it on a shelf. Doesn't sound like your goal. There really isn't any air flow. No matter how rich you run it, it'll overheat. Even if you get creative and remove some of the grill or side windows....nowhere to escape.

Here's what I do. Get a second body. One for show, one for go. I know it's more money. Trust me, the go body is going to get beat up. No matter how hard you try not to, it's going to hit a curb or roll over. Been there many times. Put holes in the go body. A new body costs a fraction of a new motor.
