This guy at the hobbie shop said it was a drop in for the .15 and I am neverous about this. Ofna said that it is a drop in for the "tmaxx" but they did not say which.

Also not sure whether I am going to get the Rotary carb I need, and asked for.

Does anyhody have good pictures of their picco I could see?

hey, I have the .21 picco in my t-maxx.

Technically it's a smallblock so it's no problem.

It comes with it's own engine mount and installation is fairly easy. The only thing to really look out for is the linkage. You'll have to readjust it or else the throttle will stick WOT. I'd also buy another bellcrank for it, to make it more rigid. (if you can, an aluminum one.)

Here is the pic with mine on.

Hope this helps

I'll try to get one more close-up.

You have the pro 15 Tmaxx (The 1st generation one) or the 2.5? If ya have the 2.5 it should be a direct drop in. If its the pro. 15 maxx youll have to get the big block conversion kit (id suggest the XTM kit. Its the most complete kit out there, and is pretty awesome). Horizon Hobbys carrys them I think.

Yeah 4u2nv is right. it depends on which engine. you got either way itll work. :)

To my knowledge, you should only need a 2.5 header if you have the pro .15 edition. you can purchase the trx 2.5 conversion kit if you want a stock pipe, or just go with the 2.5 header and a tuned pipe like I did.

BTW: that engine is technically considered a smallblock.

Ok here is what I have learned so far! First I need to change throatle linkage because my ORIGINAL tmaxx used a rotary carb. I also need to drill a couple holes in my chassie to fit the post that pushes the slide carb

do yourself a favor...ebay a T-maxx 2.5 chassis it will have the hole you need drilled in the right place....then buy an aluminum throttle bellcrank....this helps recuce the WOT sticking mentioned before....then do not use the stock pipe...get the RD logics or sirio big bore pipe.......then pray that mill don't give you headaches like mine and a few others I've known about......you'd do better if you haven't yet to upgrade your chassis and driveline setup before doing the bigger engines though......

andy the engine he's reffering to will fit the pro .15 chassis, ti just needs some mods for the throttle linkage....the big block conversion is for real .21 engines....the picco is a fit only the T-maxx .21.......bitch to tune too

In my opinion, i think you should get the picco .26 maxx drop in... I have heard that it is not as prone to air leaks as the picco .21, and somewhat easier to tune... It will fit anywhere the picco .21 will, so i would do it.

Oh ok plaid, I guess I read it fast and thought itd be a big block. Man, when I had my Old skool maxx the only option was a Wasp. 18.. (Other than doing the big block conversion that I did)

I came into the stuff late in the game so the 2.5 was already old news.....but I built 6 of my own T-maxxes from parts and 2 others for friends.....I know that sucker too intimately...lol....my last one I did I tore down and rebuilt in less than a day....I started at the ass crack of dawn and was running it just as the sun went down......and I think I have tried every motor except the new picco .26, the OS .18 and the Sirio .23.....every other engien made for that truck I've tried....the picco is probably the best bang for the buck but you have to work like a slave to it for it to run right......once you have it running good don't let it cool down until you're ready to start tuning from factory settings again......4U what MT do you have now? Savage?
