hi! i just stripped my one way bearing after my 29th tank of gas. would it be better if i use a starter box? and how can i use it with my savage? thnx. sorry for the q's just new to nitro rc's. thnx

No, it won't work. The flywheel doesn't protrude out the bottom of the chassis. The bearings are relatively inexpensive.

personally i think you should just go to pullstart i like pull start better than the rotostart and I've had both. but thats just my opinion

Hmmm, the big debate of pullstart vs. roto start, I've been thru 2 gallons of fuel on the origonal roto start on my 25, the key is not grinding on it for long periods of time, absolutely no more than 7 - 10 seconds at most, if the engine floods either leave the glow ignigtor on the plug and count off 10 seconds and try to start again or pull the glow plug and turn ther truck upside down to drain off the excess fuel. I have not tried a pull start, but then again I am not a big fan of blisters on my fingers either, and I think I would really be pissed the first time the pull cord broke, or the return spring broke.........and I know that $18.00 for a new one way is kinda high too.

i orginally had a pull start and switched over to a rotostart... just like what road rage said... i think newbies should just stay away from rotostarts... start off with the pull start... you'll get the same problem and pay more for the pull start then the one way bearing..

if you are experince in the nitro scene you can never break the one way using a roto...

I have never broken a pull start nor a one way using a roto..
the roto is MUCH easier...

Pull start are good for small block engines...

From what I've been hearing from newbies, you guys will switch to a pull start, and if you are starting your truck the same same way with a roto, you are going to get:

blisters
tired arms
broken cords
broken springs

if it makes it easier get a OFNA inline primer fliter.. I have one...
