Yes just as long as you get the clutch set up and make sure the exhaust fits. Is it rear or side? If side which side? Last the throttle linkage will need to be changed if it is a slide carb. If you find the engine parts that much different from stock you will have to upgrade but it will be worth it. Good luck, happy running,

or is the hpi 12R-XS Nitro Star engine just as good?
rear also. but just need a different header for that. the engine it self fits directly in the rs4. this one has a little lower hp .1.35. dont know if ya can notice that.this is my first rc nitro.
