ok i have a revo 3.3 and i keep striping the spurr gear and i dont know why can someone please help me

Mesh is how the teeth from the spur and pinion fit together or "Mesh".
Not all pitches are interchangeable. Are you using the stock numbers?
Put a strip of paper between the two gears, squeeze them together tightly and then lock it down. Roll out the paper and you should have a perfect mesh.
Too loose and the teeth bang into each other and break, and too tight causes overheating and stripping.

While you're at you may want to check to see if your slipper clutch is too tight.

Teach me something

If a slipper clutch is to tight it shouldnt slip, beeing to loose would let it slip more and burn up quicker is my way of thinking. I run mine where with a pin in shaaft hole I can't turn it then give it a 1/8 turn tight.

If the slipper is too tight, the shock of landings goes to the weakest point, in this case the spur. If it's too loose it will slip too much causing overheating and melting of the spur teeth.
Fully tight and backed off 1/4 turn is a safe starting point.

WHAT? :whhooo:
I think you must have the mesh set at the tips of the teeth. There's NO reason why that should happen. I've had spurs last for 2 gallons and more.

nope i made it normaly spaced but i tightend the nut all the way

omggg lmao i turns out i was using a 21t clutch because i forgot to switch it... i took the motor from my maxx and didnt realize the clutch was that big.. i feel stupid lol

From post #4.
Good to hear you got it figured out, now go run it and break something. :)
