well if you bought an older savage 25 that doesn't come with the mods you would spend lets see

Servo saver mod: 30 bux

Throttle linkage mod: 10 Bucks

Spider diff Mod: 20 bucks

Proline Bowties and 40 series rims: 40 for tires and 40 for the wheels.

28 mill: 200 bucks about

Total 340 bucks.Approxiamately

I think the 4.6 is a great package!!

well the 4.6 kit is a dang good deal for the price! Its a deep price but the quality is there!

with all the mods that come on it I think its a great deal.. but yes if your starting with nothing it sure is a bunch of money..

Dude, buy a used one off ebay for 200.00/250.00 and sink 300 in hop-ups in it, even if you buy the new one your going to change stuff. That's just how this hobby works, you buy and you upgrade to your liking.

:hammer:

I've been in this hobby for 8 years I'm just saying isnt kind of weird that a kit is more expensive than a rtr i know most kits are cheaper than rtr look at the rs4 3 the kit is 250 the rtr is 280

i built mt jump truck for about $500 and thats got a hop up list that goes for ever... Ebay the front/rear ends, and tranny. then pic qan choose your option parts.. I got a very trick ride for the cost of a kit..

It is odd, but look at the Madforce, there are two versions. the RCX goes for some cash to.

I picked up a used .25 for 125.00
100.00 for integy w/pb
120.00 for my Hyper 8 (nice motor for the price)
then about 225.00 or so in tons for integy parts from Rush RC.

So I have about 570.00 into it and it bilngs!!!! and I hate to sayit but my 8 port runs all day long with the .28's. 30% nitro and sweet tune.

It's sad, I've been on this board from 03 and have less the 30 post... sorry to be off topic.

Are you comparing apples to apples? No you are not.

The Savage 25 does not have all the mods and comes with the .25 mill. If HPI were to put in the 4.6 mill and add all the mods the 4.6SS comes with, you can bet your ass that the RTR would cost more than the SS kit.

also look at the revo its rtr and is cheaper than the savage

Now you aren't even comparing the same rides.

But hey, the Losi Mini-T is cheaper than the Savage.

man its not that expensive comon uv been in this hobby for 8 years then you dont have to buy the basic stuff at tower its 429$ then subtract 30$ with their cupln thats 400$ battery and charger is 30$ for me and The radio and recievers 100$ for me if i calculated right I'm spending 530$ so if i rounded up then id spend 550$ its not that bad plus the key in this hobby is to look for great deals so search around and find the lowest price your the only one making it expencive. And if u dont want to spend that money then buy something cheeper or get something used. Its not that big of a deal.

Exactly. "If you can't take the heat...___ ___ __ ___ _______!"

buy the new "upgraded" Savage 25 from Bruce at RushRC for $399 - http://rushrc.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/21_91/products_id/3649
It has all the MOD upgrades that the 46 has just not the tire/wheel combo and the engine. You can then sell the tire, wheels and engine and buy what you want.
You can buy the Werks Collari LC30MT engine for $209 form Bruce - http://rushrc.com/shop/catalog/product_info.php/cPath/25_295/products_id/6531
The Savage .25 engine sells for around $100 on eBay. So you final price would be about $500 and you would have one fully modify and faster than the stock 46 Savage.
RushRC prices also include shipping :2cents:

I'm not trying to make it a big deal I'm just saying i think it should be cheaper nothing wrong with voicing my opinion is there ???

Ok when it comes down to it the Kit will normally come with more upgrades than the RTR version. WHY? Well the kit will offer more of the High end options without the engine , exhaust and radio so the buyer can drop his own stuff in. No need to buy a RTR so you can take off the stuff you don't want. Now just to clear things up the NEWER Savage 25 rtr model now come with the MODS found in the 4.6 minus the wheel and tires combo. Still a great deal. Go firgure. ..and no I won't lend you the cash.
