why does it shift at super high rev.

Hey guys, first time here at rcnt. I have an OG. t-maxx 2.5, love that danm toy. I just changed the clutch bell from 18t to 16t with a 72t spurgear. I feel it has more torque but now it wont shift until it revs pretty high. Oh I also removed the reverse gear and made it foward only. I heard you can change the shift point in the tranny, is this true? Can someone show me how. Thanks in advance...epper:

There's a rubber plug on the trans. Open it up, and rotate it till you find 2 grub screws. One will be in the center, locking onto the shaft, and the other will be off center. If you turn that one slightly clockwise, it will shift later. Take it for a test run and reset it till it's where you want it.

There is 2 hex nuts in the trans?? On my 3.3 u pull the plug off the trans. and hold the spur gear til u see black hex.. If your maxx is not shifting the turn the screw counter clockwise it may be different on the 2.5 I'm not sure
