RC Driving Style
I am trying to hop up my new savage and I want to know what is a good pipe that puts out good power as well as knocks the sound down just a little bit. I know Hot Bodies sells one as well as GPM but I want to know what works and what is preferred.
 
I have the RD Logics pipe on my Savage. It's a one piece pipe, with a chrome finish. Looks good, sounds good. It gives more top end as well. What engine are you running? If it's the 21BB, it's a clean fit. If it's the Hyper 21 8 port, you're going to have to file the header flange a little.
 
My LHS swears by the Ritter Ya thats the one. it looks like a :banana:. Its solid as hell made of welded steel. If you can get past the funky look its a great pipe.
 
I'm running the stock 21BB engine but I'm planning to upgrade here soon with a new engine. I don't know what to upgrade to.
My LHS puts XTM 24.7 into their savages and says it does awesome. But reading in this forum everyone seems to dropping in the Hyper .21 or the Picco .26. I have the HB extended chassis plates and plan on putting the oversize tires from HB.
 
Don't you have to drill a new set of holes on the engine mounts to install the 24.7? I like the picco 26. Sirio is also coming out with a 27, but I don't know how great that will be.
 
Heck with quieter! The more noise the cooler it is. The nieghbors will live.
 
engine help

I'm pretty new and i was thinking of getting a savage. my cousin has a RS4 MT and i wanted to know how fast those usually go in stok form so i can get a better engine. which engine do you think would be good to make the savage be about the same speed as the RS4 MT. plus does anybody know of a good pipe that can make the savage louder? thanks a lot

and I've heard that the dual exaust isnt too good is that true?
 
RD Logics one-peice or THS one-piece. They are a little bit quieter than stock, but are great in the performance department.
