what do you guys think would be best for me. i want a mini but am not sure what to get. i want either a rc18, spyder, or mini t. the only thing i really know is the the rc18 and spyder are 4-wheel drive while the mini t is 2. i have no electric experience. (other then years ago with radio shack cars). i want something that is fast and i can jump. well what do you guys think is a good car for me.

Rc18T. Complete RTR pakage with battery and charger. They are quick and jump well. Plus, parts support from AE and aftermarket is great. I had a Mini-T and sold it after 2 weeks. Didn't like it at all. Trinity spyder? Trinity parts support is horrible.

As soon as my LHS gets an RC18T in, I'm gonna be all over it! I've been wanting a 1/18 truck for a while, and I'm holding out for the 18T. I though about picking up a Mini-T because you can find hopped up ones for sale for pretty good prices, but I'd rather pay $159 or so and get a brand new truck that's made to kick-a$$ right out of the box!
The only downside I've heard about the 18T so far is that it might not be all that durable....but they're fast, 4wd, and can jump well so I still want one.

I have the RC18 nd Mini. I did some road tests comparing the 2. The Rc18 kicked ass in every catagory. And for the money , it comes with everything u need. I will put it to the test against the competition when I race it this spring.

What about the minizilla coming out later this month. Looks like one bad little truck.

sweet, I guess it just all depends on what you want. A monter truck or a stadium style truck? The monter truck would probably be more fun if you're running by yourself or with friends just for fun...it'll tackle rougher terrain than the smaller trucks will. The stadium will handle better and be faster and will be a better choice if you think you might want to race it.
If you're looking for a NICE mini monster truck, check out the PTI.

Hey man, out of the box how did it run? Was it just fun, pretty quick, fast? Also have you been pretty rough on yours? How has it held up...pretty durable?

At first, I had Robriguez drive the my stock Mini-T while I raced him with the stock RC 18. The 18 beat the pants off the mini hands down. On the sharp turns the mini would flip over while the 18 would hold course. The grass was no problem for the 18 and handled the jumps(little ones) well. Just another nice ride from Associated.

If anyone is looking to start in the RC hobby, this is the best starter RC to get. Comes complete with battery, charger & RTR.

But out of the box, the MiniT is slow.... would you say the 18t is comparable in speed to a miniT with a speed 300 in it? I'm dead set on getting an 18T and I'm wondering if I should pick up a brushless system in it, or if the stock speed will hold me off for a while.
Does it pull hard off the line?

It takes off the line but don't do wheelies. It should satisfy you with the stock motor. But I would love to put a brushless in it.

The reason I keep them with the stock motor is where I race they only allow u to have stock.

alright, well i think i am going to go for the 18t. can't wait.
