Which Lipo Will Fit?

I think the 8000 mah maxamps.com is the biggest battery that will fit without any modifications. I HIGHLY reccomend maxamps.com. I can't tell you how good their customer service is. Everytime I buy something, whether it be $20 or $500, I get a handwritten thank you card and some decals in the mail 2 days after placing my order. I needed some batteries in a specific size that they carry for my last crawling comp. A week before the compeition, I sent them an email to see if they knew anywhere else that had that particular size. Jason from maxamps told me he might be able to build me some batteries with some cells he was saving in the back. He said it might take a few days but he would get on it. About 2 hours later I had an email from maxamps.com that an order for two batteries had been shipped. I thought it was a mistake, because I hadn't even sent the payment. Nope, turns out he built them immidiately and shipped them to me before I paid so that he wouldn't miss another day in the mail. Now that is what I call customer service, and that's why I don't settle for second rate service.

I am using MaxAmps 2S 8000HV's with the wrap shrunk onto the pack and they fit snug as a bug in the batt compartments of my EREVO.

I have the erevo, I just picked up a Novak HV Pro 4.5 Brushless System but have no idea how to install it, do I need any special parts to install it? Next is the batteries, what should I use, will the Maxamps 2s 8000 work with this config?

Please help, EREVO in NEED!!

The maxamps batteries will work great with that setup. I had the same identical setup for my Revo conversion, but I've decided to sell it because I have so much money tied up in it and I know that I'll be getting an E-Revo and it will just sit on the shelf. You're going to need some pinion gears, and you might want to use one of the motor plates designed to hold only one brushless motor, but you don't have to.

Sorry to be daft, can you help me with what pinion gear (ideal for this setup), links at Tower would be great and where I can get the motor plates? I'm sure I can find the right battery at Maxamps. MANY THANKS!!

THANks- I put on my wish list. How about the right Pinion gear? Also I am using a Super Brain 989, any idea what a good balancer would be if I get the Maxamps 8000HV?

I REALLY like my Hyperion stuff. If you order the batteries from maxamps, you could order one of their balancers and it would go towards your total, to earn you more rewards faster. I have a Hyperion charger, and I tried several of the popular brands at the hobby shop before buying mine. I absolutely LOVE the Hyperion charger, so much so that as long as they're producing chargers of this quality, it's the only thing I'll buy. And if you use their balancer, you will have their WONDERFUL customer service to help out if you have any questions or problems. When you order your stuff, you can order a LiPo care package for free that comes with a DVD on how to charge LiPo batteries and how to use an external balancer, stuff like that.

Rob should be able to help you out with the right pinion gear, I didn't get that far in my Revo build. If you haven't already bought the Novak system, I have a brand new one still in the package at a greatly reduced price in my for sale thread.

I wish I had known, I ordered mine from a HK store.

For the charger, see this:

What power supply do you use, will by existing SuperBrain Power Supply work?

No it will not.

You will need a separate 12V power supply with an amp rating that exceeds what you will be using it for.

I would get one with at least an 18amp rating.

I use a 22amp power supply from Radio Shack and I am able to charge two 8000mah packs and one 5000mah pack at the same time using 3 chargers off of it.

well i have 2 traxxas brushless motors in it. So does it matter what size lipo will fit now?

No.

It doesn't matter what motors you are using. The battery compartments will only hold a up to a certain thickness of pack.

The 2S 8000HV's I am using have the hard shell shrink wrapped on to the packs. They fit perfectly in the compartments after you remove the plastic spring retainers from the top. If you ESC and take it, you can probably fit 3S packs, but the mah rating will need to be lower.

Measure the opening height of the battery compartments and subtract a few mm for clearance. Maxamps shows the size of their pack in the description. Keep in mind that size shown is without the hard skin installed. You will need to add a few mm's to the thickness if you want the skin.

Are you using two ESC's to power the two brushless motors?

Those are 2S since they are 7.4v.

How Many Cells Are These??

http://www.maxamps.com/MA-8000-EREVO-Pair.htm

I Have two VXL Systems in it.

And How Long Of Run times would i get off those maxamps 8000's?

Have you actually run it with the twin VXLs? What are you using to control the two VXL systems and keep the motor rpms in sync? How do you plan on wiring your packs? I'm very interested in seeing your set-up.
