which savage is faster/better the 4.6 or the xl and is the 4.6 as durable as the xl. is it worth the extra 100.00 bucks for the xl

I've heard some bad things about the engine in the XL. You might want to really research it b-4 you get one. I love my Savage with the 4.6 in it. It's been a great running engine with lots of power.
 
the savage XL would be faster since it has a bigger engine, and the XL has a wider wheel base than the 4.6. Savages are very realiable trucks, you wouldn't get disappointed with either
 
I've got an xl and I've alreadt fried the motor.I've ran 48 tanks of 30% nitro thru it.tuff truck but!!
