Just have more than 5 batteries if you want to play for a while. You need to charge them and then let them cool down. Cycling the batteries is a good thing to do. As far as nitro.. I have ran around an 1 1/2 straight and then turned it off

Somehow I KNEW you would say that.

If you are young, and new to this hobby, then yes, the electric is definately better. You can get used to all the same suspension and servo adjustments without dealing with nitro engines. Electrics are "almost" maintenance free, and can give you about the same speed and enjoyment.
